Join us and the Oil City Fire Department IAFF Local 700 for 

               "5K for MDA"                                                

The 9th annual Oil City Firefighters "5K for MDA " for The Oil Heritage Festival will be on July 19th , 2008 at 9:00 am . This is a 5K run / walk , the course is paved , flat and fast . It is a out-and-back 3.1 mile course along West 1st Street in Oil City . The start will be near Reed St. This course is good for a Personal Record (PR) . Why Meadville ?
Upon discussions for the last two years it has been noted that Northwestern Pennsylvania has lacked a running specialty store.  The lack of a running specialty store in this area is disappointing not only from our perspective but to our running community.  Thus, the athletes have to either go to a generic, ‘big box’ retail store or drive a great distance with inconvenience to a running specialty store. 

We have known the area for a while, having a cottage on Conneaut Lake growing up.  We have always liked the community and the people in this area.  After opening our first store, we wanted the next one to be in a great community that lacked a specialty running store as well, what better place than Meadville , PA ???
