Profile: 

I am married to Rita and we have 4 children.  I was inspired by my older brother Mike and the Chardon CC team captured the state title in 1972.  They got to ride into town on the village's biggest red fire truck.  They were cool.  

I was obsessed with running in high school and over trained my way to all short of most of my goals in track and CC.  But it was un.  My friends were nutty.  

After a 24 year lay off,  I began walking and jogging on a treadmill at the YMCA.  Someone persuaded me to enter a race.  I started running again.  Competitive running is a great teacher.
